Destination 3 : Cuyamaca Rancho SP / Lake Cuyamaca

Nestled in the Santa Rosa mountains, Cuyamaca Rancho SP is just an hour to the east of San Diego and is an equally good destination for a quick stop on way to Anza Borrego desert, a day hiking trip or for an overnight camping trip. There are several trails that lead to peak summits and scenic overlooks.


Lake Cuyamaca lies at the northern end of the park and is a popular fishing destination.
